May 25th

Today is the first that I visit Tianjin Children Welfare Institution. It's really far from my home, like 40 minutes without traffic, but an hour with traffic driving. My mother dropped me off today since it's the first time. I first called the principal of the institution to let him know about my visiting. It's a really representative way of Chinese culture to get things done. You have to make an appointment as close as possible to the day you want to visit. Anyway, when I got to the institution, I found the principal in the dining room, and he brought me to have a short visit of the class I'm working in the next four weeks. He told me I need to get to the classroom by 7:50 a.m. Then he introduced me to the office department, Wu, and she told me about the requirements of dressing. I'm so excited for the job!!!
