Today is the Children’s day, a big day for anorphanage. Children don’t give any performance today, but they will be visited.Friday is usually the open day for the public. People from the society can comein and visit those orphans on this day. Today, the Friday happens to be theChildren’s day as well. The orphanage holds different activity: donation board,charity selling, group visiting with guides and welfare lottery. The donationboard lists all goods that the orphanage needs, and people who want to donatecan select any of them to donate, such as Aloe Gel for children who have skinproblems, equipment for rehabilitation training activities, etc. We sell littlethings such as hair accessories, phone accessories, some hand made toys andcloth making things. Most of them are made by teachers here, but if you tellthe buyers that the goods are made by teachers, then they wouldn’t buy any ofthem. In contract, if you tell them that the goods are made by children underthe guiding of teachers, they will definitely buy them without doubt. In fact,children here are young and most importantly with disability, so how come theyhand make such cute accessories!? I think it’s not the fault of the orphanage.It’s a white lie. I found it really interesting of those people who want a tagattached to the goods illustrating the name of the child who made this. Thething is really fancy. I don’t think I can make it. How come they expect alittle kid with disability to do it!? Anyway, both the buyers and the sellersdo it out of a kindness. I was basically responsible for the charity sellingsection.
